    Quotes on Colleagues

    Fight for your loyal troops like they were your own children.

    For the others, play it straight and discuss every ‘situation’ with your Boss and HR before you decide to confront them for their own good and your own.

    Followers choose their Leaders.

    “Good Man; Good Plan”.

    “If their manner grates, give great manners.” *

    If they’ve got a personal crisis, let them go and sort it, flexibility works both ways.

    If you can call them a Muppet when muppetation occurs without offending them then they are in the clique.

    If you can’t get in today call your Boss direct and tell him why. If, as the Boss, you don’t hear from them by 9:30 then you call them direct.

    If you’ve asked someone to do some work for you, have you checked with their Boss first?

    Keep an eye on the bad apples in case they try to spoil the barrel.

    Never give them the satisfaction.

    To try to speak to people as often as possible rather than use electronic communication – “You learn more face to face.”

    Train your team until you can trust them to do their job but don’t train for training’s sake.

    When people are open with you, that’s when a colleague becomes a friend.

    When suffering a close bereavement, you need two weeks off to sort yourself and everything else out.
